Ridge Christian began as a dream in April of 1979 when a few families along with the Northeastern Oklahoma Evangelizing Association had a vision of starting a Christian church in south Broken Arrow. The first worship services were held at Vandever Elementary School with only thirteen original members. From the first Bible studies over four decades ago, to the worship services that will involve hundreds of individuals this weekend, our mission of helping others follow Jesus has advanced.
Throughout our history, we have been a people of faith. From the first visionary land purchase and building project in Broken Arrow with only a handful of people, to the launch of our Coweta campus in 2012, we have always taken great steps of faith where God has led, even when it seemed impossible. As we look back over our history, we are reminded that something amazing happens when our small steps of faith intersect with God’s faithfulness.

How much are we trying to raise?
$1.5 million is the goal to be used at both our Broken Arrow and Coweta campuses to reach the next generation.
When will I make my commitment?
You can turn in a commitment card any time, but we encourage you to present your commitment during our Commitment Sunday service, October 26, 2025.
How do I give toward my commitment?
You can contribute online or on the Church Center app using the “Project Next” dropdown. You can also mail a check or place one marked “Project Next” in one of the offering boxes. You may give once a week, once a month, once a year, or all at once—whatever works best for you.
Will I have the opportunity to Revise my commitment?
Yes. We understand that circumstances may change. You can revise your commitment, either up or down, at any time during the two-year giving period. Just contact the church office.
What is Ridge Christian Church’s current financial situation?
We are in a strong financial position with no debt.
Can I designate where my funds will go?
Not at this time. We have intentionally organized our shared goals to include the vision of both campuses.
What if we don’t make our goal? What if we exceed the goal?
Our leadership has developed this goal through much prayer and discussion. We believe that Phase 2 is not only attainable, but exactly what we need to do NEXT. Should we not reach our goal, we will do what we can with what we have. If we exceed our goal, we believe this is God leading us into the NEXT phase.
How does this work?
Those who call Ridge Christian their church family will be asked to make a commitment for the next two years. This pledge is over and above the normal tithes and offerings to the church. You can give at whatever frequency you prefer, beginning with our “First Step” offering on Commitment Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Will my commitment be made public?
No. Your commitment will be completely confidential.
Can I give non-cash gifts?
Yes. Assets such as stocks, bonds, or personal property may all be given. Contact the church office for more details.
Will anyone call me if I don’t keep up my giving commitment?
No. As with any giving to Ridge Christian, your commitment is a personal matter between you and God. We will do everything possible to ensure the privacy of your gifts. As required by law for all non-profit organizations, we will periodically send a record of your contributions for tax purposes. Other than that, it will be strictly confidential.
When will projects get started?
As money is received, we will start projects.
Does this include everything we want to do?
No, we have a vision beyond this. We anticipate future phases, and with every generation there is always a "NEXT." Our leadership is confident in the timing of this NEXT step.
